Wow it has been a long time since I’ve written on my blog. After a bit of a hiatus I am now back in the studio creating some new work. I have lots of plans for new pieces and I’m glad to say the first print is finished and thankfully I haven’t forgotten how to print during the break. A two layer Ballerina print in what has now become my signature sketchy style.

Last time I posted I was planning my first Artweeks Exhibition in 2022, I told you it had been a long time, as a joint exhibition with other artist which was a great way to ease the stress of my first exhibition. Although I did like the idea of people being able to see you at work and see the space you work in so in 2023 I opened up my home studio to visitors, which was a great experience and lots of lovely people to talk to and I’m now embarking on my third in May this year. So pencil it in your diary if you fancy visiting me at work, taking a look at my new prints or coming for a chat about artsy stuff.

I will post my progress on the countdown to Artweeks but I do so more frequently on facebook and instagram, you’ll find me as traceyunderhillprintmaker.

May sounds like a long way off but it’s actually only 12 weeks, 9 if you discount half term and Easter holidays, queue panic, so I’d better go get printing. These pieces won’t print themselves!

Bye for now.

Trace

P.S. It’s good to be back!
